New Cat Condos (Prestige line) 65” Maine Coon Condo is a great example of good design and solid materials. It’s all wood made in the USA. Furthermore, it will require some assembly but the manufacturer says 5 minutes to assembly, and buyers of the product say up to 10 minutes (no tools required).
Overall, in the premium category, manufacturers use a higher-grade carpet that holds up to scratching. Certainly, this is an extremely sturdy tree due to its all-wood construction and overall design.
This cat tree has a large footprint with its 24 x 24-inch base but that gives this tree the sturdiness required to accommodate the big kitties. This tree is designed for extra-large cats but is also ideal for homes with multiple cats.
The condos are fully carpeted compared to cheaper units that only carpet the floor. In addition, the plush carpet used on this tree is 40 ounces or greater so it will take a beating from happy pussy cats. Another great feature is the un-oiled sisal rope that wraps one of the posts. The tree comes in a variety of colors.

The Prestige 130098 staggered cat tree is both attractive and well made. In fact, they use all wood in the construction of this unit vs cheaper particle board. The unit is made in the USA and assembly only takes 4 to 5 minutes and no tools are required. Additionally, this cat tree is great for large cats or a multi-cat home.
The manufacturer utilizes both premium carpet and un-oiled sisal on two posts for scratching. Another selling point is the sturdiness of this tree due to its all wood construction and overall design. Also, they use a 40-ounce weight premium home grade carpet that will last and last.
It's easy to see why the Prestige 130098 made our premium cat trees list. It comes with easy assembly with an extra thick base to ensure sturdiness. The 57” Armarkat X5703 premium cat tree is a great premium tree for several reasons. This cat tree uses premium materials in the construction and the X5703 unit utilizes 4-inch diameter posts that are completely covered in sisal cat rope.
A heavy duty carpet, wood platforms, and upgraded hardware ensure a well-designed cat tree. The posts are made from a dense corrugated product in order to offer replacement scratching posts. The idea behind this strategy is because the scratching post takes the most abuse. The corrugated product allows Armarkat to offer a super durable replacement part that won't break the bank.
The Armarkat X5703 is made in China and requires assembly but the 4-inch posts, replacement parts, high reviews, and a 6-month warranty is why this unit made our top 10 premium cat trees. Most cat trees manufacture give a 30-day warranty.

The Breakdown
This 72" New Cat Condos Play-Station cat tree is a very popular tree with over 750 reviews. This unit offers variety with the three different types of stations; three cradles, one tunnel and one condo. It is tall so low ceilings are not an option but the small footprint (20 x 20) base lets you place it in a tight room.
I think this is a great unit for both young and old cats. Taller spots for the younger cats and three lower tiers for the less active kitties. It offers two sisal covered scratching posts and comes fully assembled.
I like the fact that it’s made in the USA and utilizes wood bases and posts, which is the case with most premium cat trees. Some have commented that there is an initial chemical smell in the carpet and others have said they did not notice a smell.

A nice feature of this tree is that it actually resembles a tree. The unit is constructed of wood with premium carpet that is modeled to look like tree bark. They use a double wood base to provide a sturdier environment. The thing I like about this cat tree is the overall attractiveness.
Some trees are not that good looking and will not blend well into a family rooms décor. But this tree is different, it looks great and should blend into any room. It will require some assembly. With this unit, you still get two cradles, a sisal scratching post, and a top condo. They also incorporated a natural wood post so your felines will have two options for taming those sharp claws. I recommend this unit for more energetic cats due to the smaller ledge size in front of the condo.
Cats have to climb into the condo making it more challenging for older or chunky kitties. This is another all wood unit, made in the USA and no assembly required. You have a choice of colors and the company states that this tree to be tip resistant. As always, check to make sure there are no exposed screws before letting your kitties go crazy.
